I started Aberdeen Concrete Company in 2023 to run jobs that same careful way, with a lot more explaining along the way, because you should understand your job before we start.
Most of what we do is flatwork, the flat pours like driveways, patios, steps and garage floors, and we want every slab to sit flat and shed water away from your house. That starts underneath. I'd rather put your money into a dug-out, packed subgrade, the ground the slab sits on, than into a fancy finish, because a nice top can't save a bad base.
