Terms and Conditions
Effective January 1, 2026
Aberdeen Concrete Company, aberdeenconcretecompany.com, office@aberdeenconcretecompany.com
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of the Aberdeen Concrete Company website and any work you hire us to do. By using the site, asking for an estimate or booking a job with us, you agree to them.
If a written estimate or contract for your job says something different from this page, the written document for your job controls. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the site, and call us before booking so we can talk it through.
What we do
Aberdeen Concrete Company is a concrete contractor in Aberdeen, SD. We build and repair driveways, patios, sidewalks, steps, garage floors, foundations, footings and other concrete work for homes and businesses in Aberdeen and the cities around it. You can see the full list on our home page and read more about our crew on our about page.
The descriptions, photos and general information on this site explain the kinds of work we do. They aren't an offer for any specific job. The scope of your job is set only by the written estimate or contract you approve.
Estimates and pricing
Our estimates are free, and asking for one puts you under no obligation. Each estimate is based on what we can see on site, so it lists the work, the size and the finish we've agreed on for your job.
A final price can change if conditions we couldn't see show up once the job is open, such as soft or wet ground under an old slab, buried debris, roots or old concrete that's thicker than expected. If that happens, we stop, show you what we found and agree on any change in price with you before we do the extra work.
Changes you ask for after the estimate, like a bigger patio or a different finish, are priced and agreed on before we do them. Any price ranges or general figures on this website are for information only and aren't a quote.
Scheduling, weather and cancellation
We schedule each job with you and do our best to keep that date, but concrete depends on the weather. Rain, freezing temperatures, extreme heat or wet ground can push a pour back, because pouring in the wrong conditions makes a weaker slab, and we won't do that just to hold a date.
New concrete needs time to cure, which is the wait while it hardens and gains strength before it can take foot traffic or a vehicle. We'll tell you when it's safe to walk and drive on your job, and damage caused by using the slab before then isn't our responsibility.
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please call us as early as you can at (605) 824-9815. If we've already ordered materials, set forms or reserved a concrete delivery for your job, you may be responsible for those costs, as your estimate or contract describes.
Your part of the job
You agree to give our crew and our delivery trucks reasonable access to the work area on the scheduled days. Please tell us about anything buried in the work area that you know of, like sprinkler lines, drain pipes, private electrical lines or septic parts, so we can plan around it.
You're responsible for knowing your property lines and for any approval your homeowners association requires. If a permit is needed for your job, we'll tell you what we know, but it's your responsibility to confirm the requirement with the city or county office that issues it.
Payment
Your estimate or contract states the price, any deposit and when each payment is due. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment is late, we may pause further work until it's settled, and you agree to pay reasonable costs we incur to collect an unpaid balance, as South Dakota law allows.
Warranty and what concrete does
We stand behind our work, and if something isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any written warranty for your job is the one stated in your contract, and it covers only what it says.
Concrete can crack even when it's built right, because it shrinks as it dries and moves as the ground freezes and thaws. We cut control joints, which are planned grooves that give the slab a place to crack where it won't show much, but small hairline cracks and slight color differences are normal and aren't defects.
No warranty covers damage from things outside our control, such as settling of ground we didn't prepare, poor drainage you change after the job, de-icing salt, heavy equipment, tree roots, flooding or using the slab before it has cured. Outside any written warranty in your contract, our work and this website are provided as they are, without other warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Aberdeen Concrete Company's total responsibility for any claim related to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost use of a driveway while concrete cures or damage to buried lines we weren't told about.
The information on this website is general and may not fit your property. We aren't responsible for decisions you make based on the site alone, without an on-site estimate.
Resolving a disagreement
If you're unhappy with any part of the job, please call us first so we can come out, look at it with you and try to make it right. Most problems get settled that way.
If we can't settle it together, we both agree to try good-faith mediation before going to court. Any lawsuit is to be brought in the state courts serving Brown County, South Dakota, unless the law requires otherwise.
Governing law
These terms and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, without regard to rules that would apply another state's law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one that applies. A change doesn't affect a job you've already signed a contract for unless we both agree to it in writing.
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
Questions about these terms
If you have a question about these terms or about your job, call us at (605) 824-9815 or send us a note through our contact page. We'll get back to you within 1 business day.
